I wanted to start this blog, to further connect with our customers.  I think they are absolutely amazing, and I appreciate each and every one of you.  The blog is about not only shoes, and chocolate, but I also wanted to delve into other things that I am passionate about such as health & medicine, travelling, books, food and of course, all things vegan.  For those of you who don't know me, I am a practicing physician here in Washington State and I have been vegan since circa 1999.  

So, I suppose I should be true to the crux of our store for the first blog, and mention a shoe that I am absolutely in love with.  It is by Jambu, which I totally love since it is a company that is being increasingly eco-conscious.  They even have transitioned to using biodegradable bags to store the shoes in a keepsake box.  How awesome is that!  So this is the Water Diva in brown, with  lavender stitching in the straps that are adjustable.  It has velcro closures so it is super easy to get in and out of.  The shoe is part of Jambu's bare-foot collection, so this shoe is terrific for if you are on the beach or just doing some light trekking and get a little wet in a stream.  It has a nylon mesh upper, so it quickly dries on those rainy days here in Seattle.  What I love about all Jambu shoes, is the feature of them having a memory foam foot-bed.  It is super comfortable!  The shoe has a partially recycled rubber sole and toe bumpers too!
