Growing up in Toronto, I learned at a very young age how to wear heels and be able to trek through the urban jungle. Now living in Seattle, and being much older with sore feet at times, it is often about comfort. So when these cozy shoes from J-41 arrived, I have to admit it was love at first sight.
Meet
Barrington, shown above it is in brown, but it is also available in
black. This shoe is by J-41 so it has a jeep engineered trail rated sole that is made of partially recycled rice rubber. The sole also extends to provide heel and toe bumpers. This rain-friendly shoe has a faux fur lining which is irresistible. Also, the foot-bed is made of memory foam. It also has a removable faux fur insole. Attractive details such as the tone on tone stitching and faux suede material that ties in two knots just below the cuff give this delightful shoe extra intrigue. I just love to slip into these early in the morning when I am going out to take the puppy for a long walk.
