Nothing is more comfortable than trotting around in a good ol' pair of sneakers.That is why I am in love with Simple Shoes. As our fall line of the new Simple Shoes has been rolling through the door, I simply couldn't resist the Take On Elastic in Peacoat! This shoe has a jute upper (that's a vegetable fiber that gets spun into a coarse, strong thread...I had to look it up...hurray for Wikipedia) and laces that are made of recycled PET that allow easy slip on and no tying! The coordinated plaid trim around the upper is made of an organic cotton blend and the lining is also made of a recycled PET blend. The rubber sole is a blend of 40% recycled rubber and 60% natural rubber. This material is carried along the sides and also serves as a toe bumper along the front of the shoe in white with red trim detail. This classic Americana beauty is not only eco-friendly but vegan!
